“Thank you for the care and concern you gave to them during class and in preparation for their showcase. I was so moved by the safe space and encouragement that was provided to all of the dancers during the performances, knowing it was building a healthy and positive self-concept and boosting confidence for each of the dancers.”
-Aundrea, Youth Student’s Mom
“I had my final dance lesson before my wedding with my Dad last night and I just wanted to let you know how thrilled we all are with the lessons we had at your studio. We feel totally prepared and the lessons have really taken a lot of pressure off the big wedding dances so that we can actually enjoy them---it's fantastic.”
-Lauren, New Bride
“Everyone loved your choreography, and I hope we can work with you again next year. I can't thank you enough for your hard work with our kids. They had a blast and learned so much! Thank you again! Without your choreography, it would not have been anywhere near as good a show! Especially the nightmare scene! My plans were SO BAD! You saved that number”
-Dave, High School Drama Teacher
Available for dance and fitness related events, both of our studios have sprung hard wood floors, mirrors and sound systems. Let us help you launch that fitness business, promote your next choreographic masterpiece, or practice for that upcoming showcase. We are committed to providing a safe space where all artists can hone their craft.

Ashley Reid grew up training competitively in tap, jazz, ballet, and modern dance here in Charlotte at B B Dance Productions and Precision Dance Center. Her passion for dance led her to pursue further training at Carnegie Mellon University where she was a dancer and choreographer of the Dancer’s Symposium Performance Company. During this time she also joined a hip hop crew, IFS, participating in numerous performances and collaborative projects throughout the Pittsburgh area.
After graduation, she completed a research fellowship on attachment styles in adults and decided to return to Charlotte. She found herself in a Human Resources position, intrigued by the opportunity to apply her degree, organizational, and leadership skills in a new field. Soon after she learned she could merge her love for dance with her professional aspirations.
Back in Charlotte, she began teaching dance at several studios across the city. Additionally, she continued to perform with various dance groups, on the stages of festivals and special events.
Now at a new shift in career, she works as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at Novant Health, where she provides hands-on care to patients on their journey to recovery. In addition to her clinical work, she teaches dance and yoga to all ages and abilities!
Ashley is thrilled to be part of the Move team, where she can continue to explore, learn, and grow in an open and encouraging environment.
